SCART is also called EuroAV. Guess what? It's *the* standard
connector for video devices in Europe (actually, everywhere
but the USA).

Some of the newer video appliances in Europe have RCA connectors
in addition to the *usual* SCART connector :-)
BTW, most of them have RGB signals on the SCART connector.

Most older TVs/VCRs just have SCART.
Some (still older) just have antenna connectors :-)

Now, talking about standards: if we just could get rid
of that non-standard NTSC ("Never The Same Colour"?) coding
and start using PAL... (I'm not even considering SECAM a standard:-) )
