Data conversion situation

A friend sent me this msg today:

Larry: I've got a problem for you.  My Dad has a friend at his retirement
village (make that an OLD friend...) who has written his memoirs on an Apple
II.  He has about 60 5 1/4" diskettes with the data on them.  Now, he'd like
to get them on a PC since his Apple II is getting old.  Any ideas how he can
do that? Is there someone who could convert the diskettes for him?

Anyone know of a user group or service for such a conversion?
