Jeff has been called a Vogon by others. Hence the above reference. And
you and I are in agreement in assessing his contributions. Which was why
I felt compelled to write my post.

Whether *I* am amused by crude comments was never stated or implied.
Some people are, as is evident in much modern comedy (e.g. Whoopy
Goldberg for one), some are not, witness the continued interest in the
"I love Lucy" show (which, I must admit, mystifies me... I thought the
Three Stooges were the height of Western Civilization :) 

As you will note, I never mentioned a name in reference to "crude"
comments. I've seen plenty by people on both sides of this feud. I think
all should stop. If you find that offensive to you, well, I'm sorry I
offended you, but *that's* what I think and feel about crudity.
