Re: Apple IIgs in IIe case?



It was an "upgraded" IIe.  Apple actually accepted IIe's and upgrade everything
but the case in 1986. (I don't know if it was done later than that)...

I guess it is pretty rare (but not as rare as Woz version of course) if it is
authentic I guess you should keep it ;) A collector's piece...

(no, it is not even ROM01.  It is the oldest //gs with the toolbox intact...)

While we're at it...have you wondered from time to time why ZSNES runs so damn
faster than your //gs emulator?  They use the same CPU and the SNES also had its
own graphics and sound chips...if there isn't any, is anyone interested in
writing a //gs emulator with speed as its primary concern?

Given the tons of docs on the // series available (both official and unofficial)
and some opensource emulators like KEGS, it is not really that hard to
accomplish if we have enough manpower...
