Well, I would like to see someone else working on an accelerator.  Now
that I have some more experience in microprocessor design I could help you
out.  I would hope that you would be able to help me out as well.  I am
still getting the "base" system up and running (currently learning how to
implement wait-states for slower memory such as EPROMs).  I do have some
ideas of how to implement a 65816 system by using cache and wait-states to
talk to the IIgs main memory.  Though this may be a stretch due to the
amount of wait-states to go from say 20Mhz to 1Mhz would be quite a slow
down, but with enough cache it could be minimized.  Anyway, drop me a line
and we can talk about it.  I will be releasing a block diagram, but will
most likely not release a schematic until I get to a more permanent
circuit.  As it is now it keeps changing as I add and change pinouts.  I
am using one GAL now and may be using more in the future.  This does have
a logic equivalent, but future GAL programs may be hard to implement in
logic easily.  You certainly would not get the same propogation delay and
that could break the design if implemented with standard gates.  Though
HCT chips might get closer than LS chips.
