There is really very little you can do inside the 2c. You might
open it up and check the few chips which have sockets to ensure
they are firmly seated. Also check the cable connections.

Unless the 2c's were expanded with a ram card, there is little
else to check. It sounds like the other system is fried but it
still wouldn't hurt to check it out before sending it to the trash
bin.

If you decide to open it up, be very careful. It is easy to break
the little tabs which hold the back panel in place. You might want
to experiment on the most likely dead computer first.
