Help with IIC´s.

Hello,
I have two IIC�s with problems:
1. On screen some strange characters, but computer works. I can type a
program and run it. The strange characters remain stationary on screen
and jus flicker a bit.

2. Other machine gets garbage on screen on power up, with power light
on, but no boot, no disk seek, no beeps, just the mess on the screen.
