3.5 drives map to slot 5. 5.25 drives map to slot 6.
One way to tell what is wrong is to swap the first and second 3.5
drives. Now which one works? If the working order reverses,
the drive that does not work is at fault. If the working order
remains the same even if you swap the drives, then there is
something else wrong.
I'd lose the second 3.5 drive. Sell it and use the money to buy
a Focus hard disk drive on a card from http://www.allelec.com/
Alltech Electronics.
