Apple IIC

Hello I recently acquired and Apple IIC computer.  I bought the printer
cable (din 5 to din 8)for my Imagewriter II. I also have a Apple IIC +
which prints fine with the Imagewriter II but my IIC will not print it
just sits there.  Is there a setting on the printer that needs changed
or do I have to change a setting somewhere on the IIC.  I have two
Imagewriter II printers and want both computers to have one. I bought
the cable and it strictly said from IIC (din 5) to Imagewriter II (Mini
din 8) so I know I have the right cable.  Can anyone help me with this
situation?
