First, I know squat about Apple 2's .... won a bid on ebay for a 2e.
The unit has a printer card which is serial. Would this usually be a general
purpose serial card, i.e. one that I could attach a manual switch box to and
use it for serial transfer? Or could it just be dedicated, somehow, to the
printer?
Can one have two serial cards in the same Apple IIe?
If the 2e runs ProDos, does that mean it's an enhanced 2e? Does it matter if
it isn't? That is I think on a fact I read that most modern software
requires an enhanced 2e. Does that sound right?
What are the best versions of FORTH for the 2e. I got something based on
SoftTape FORTH 3.2.1, but there is no docs with the distribution.
