Once, when you posted a software availability ANN, there may have been a
followup post by me giving the URL in a handy clickable form-- don't think
that qualifies as "chastisement". (Maybe that's why it's so hard to get more
users to post or email faqs error corrections. They think they are chastising
the faqs keeper? Good grief!)

By the way, if you want users to be able to quickly zip to Trenco (or
wherever) and get goodies, place the entire URL in your announcement. For
example, you might have included this in your posting:

ftp://ftp.gno.org/pub/apple2/prodos/suites/appleworks/add.ons/

An easy way to get a copy of a URL is to click on the browser's
'Location' line (or wherever your browser shows the current URL) and copy it
when you are viewing the folder to which you wish to direct users.

If the URL is very long and is likely to wrap when viewed by newsgroup
readers, you can snip off the excess and paste it as the place to go once a
user has reached the clickable part of the URL.
