IIe Capslock problem

I have a platinum IIe with  the built in numeric keypad type keyboard.
The problem is that I get all caps whether the capslock key is up or
down. I just wanted to check and see if there is anything I can do to
remedy this short of taking the thing apart again (I just put it back
together - this is a new problem) and replacing the key switch. If the
switch needs to be replaced, I have an old standard IIe keyboard that I
use for a switch donor. What's the chance that the switches are
compatible? I know that there are a lot of different keyboards floating
around out there. Do they all use the same type of switch?
