     A USB I/O option would be a good enhancement.

     At the start we would need to have a way to handle Apple II and, maybe,
C-64 I/O. A standard RS-232 serial interface is one way. Your idea of
including disk controllers on the board is another and might be the best
approach.

     This weekend I'll go through some tech magazines to see what sort of
support IC's, docs, and prototyping boards are available. If enough users
start experimenting with designs, we should be able to get off 'square one'
and move on to something more concrete-- like such-n-such setup gives you
this speed and these features for this cost.
