I am running a pretty heavily updated version of Red Hat 5.2. Kernel
2.2.14. I'm using two different Zip drives--the IDE unit in my PC, and
the SCSI unit attached to the GS. I already had the internal Zip in my
PC so I didn't include that in the costs. I suppose not everyone has
that...

You can get xhfs by going to www.freshmeat.net and searching for
"xhfs". That's how I got it.

It's plug-and-play with my RamFAST. I think the version is "3.01f", but
I may be wrong. Basically, you just plug the RamFAST into an empty
slot, connect the Zip drive to the RamFAST, set the appropriate slot to
"Your Card" in the Control Panel, and you're set.

The RamFAST also puts a ROM disk on your desktop, from which you can
copy the native RamFAST driver onto your boot disk. You don't need the
driver, but it's probably faster with it.

With a Zip drive and a RamFAST, it's easy. Plus you can move 100MB at a
time (in both directions!)
