Unfortunately that doesn't always work.  I've had corrupted file
transfers even doing a "Save As..." instead of just clicking the link
to the file.

As far as I can tell, the server can sometimes decide whether to send
the file as 7 bit or 8 bit and this is what has caused my few
problems, I think.  If the server can be told to send BXY, SDK and SHK
files in binary mode then things this shouldn't be a problem anymore.
That is why some people have suggested that we try to get some Apple
II file types registered as MIME types.
