Not to split hairs, I would have to say that Macs are Apples, but Apple IIs are
not Macs (same concept as all robins are birds, but not all birds are robins - I
think I may be spending too much time in front of my computer).

Or you can buy a Mac modem, which is nearly as easy to find as a PC modem. I've
used both with equal degrees of success.

Just about any SCSI cd rom will work with a Mac, if you use FWBs CD Rom Toolkit.
