The Mac with Ethernet capability would do you no good. MacOS has always
only allowed AppleTalk over one interface, so if you enable the Ethernet you
lose the LocalTalk connection on the printer port.
This has ALWAYS been a fun limitation to work around on the Mac. You can't
be attached to a LAN and have a LocalTalk printer at the same time, as you
have to switch back and forth.
