As was so succinctly put in the A2 forum on Delphi, "At least 98% of
dsk files are pirated software" and to paraphrase that statement "At
least 98% of .shk (or other regular Apple II format) files are not
pirated software". :-)

It all depends on what you are downloading. The reason pirating came
into it was that the original question was asking how to write the
contents of a .dsk image, which is most likely pirated software, to a
real 5.25" drive on an Apple II.

There are a few legal programs on .dsk images like my program selector
that I released a couple years ago but most are definitely being
illegally distributed.

Similarly, there are a few illegal programs in regular Apple II
formats out there but most are perfectly legal to download and use.

Does my original bit of fun make sense now? :-)
