Sorry - I think I've answered my own question.
Shrinkit will turn the entire contents of a CP/M disk into a .sdk file
(including CP/M boot disks). Although an .sdk file is not a disk image, it
is essentially what I wanted.
"Celt's" posting titled "CP/M Area online at ACN Tarnover" several messages
later actually led me in the right direction.
