Re: Ground FTP Server

Actually Windows handles Multilink ISDN PPP connections just fine. I have
little or no problem for the most part. Actually the only times I really do
have any problems with connect speed is when swbell.net is having problems
with the Kansas City POP.

Believe me, if DSL or Cable Modem access was offered here at the apartment
complex that I live in I would dump ISDN so fast it would make Southwestern
Bell's head spin. Unfortunately, DSL is likely never to arrive here and cable

access is doesn't look like it's going to be coming around anytime soon
either. Oddly enough, everywhere around me one can get Cable Access but the
complex I live in has some kind of binding contract with a cable company that
serves no other areas of Kansas City. In fact, they are about 200 miles away
from here. They get the signal to us via a Satellite Dish and then it is
distributed throughout the complex.

The lease is up in March and my roommate and I have already decided that we
are bolting as soon as the lease is up! #1 cause we're tired of the place
after 2 years, #2 there are WAY too many children around here to do anyone
any good and their parents tend to get testy when I threaten to set up traps
for them if they don't keep them caged, #3 can't get DSL/Cable Access and #4
all of my //gs stuff is starting to take over the place and we need a place
with a basement to keep all the computer stuff!
