Yeah, I also agree that there are times when doing low level stuff is
definitely necessary.

Just more of what we have now. :-)

Access to more memory, more storage (more of an OS fix than hardware,
though), better sound, better graphics, faster processor (I'd like to
keep this as simple as the 65xxx series, though). Just expanding on
what is already there, basically.

It would also be nice if this design could be applied to a laptop
model as well.

By the way, if it wasn't backward compatible, there probably wouldn't
be a whole lot of reason to build it. There would almost certainly be
some hardware that would not work with a new machine but that is to be
expected as it also happened with all the changes in Apple II
hardware.

As long as I can still pop the top and poke around inside and play
with the same software as I have now I don't see it as not feeling the
same. At least not if the machine was made the way I'd like it to be
made. :-)

I know that feeling. I have to decide between paying bills or buying
something for my Apple II. Sometimes I lean toward the Apple II but
certainly nowhere near as much as I would like. Mind you, I just
treated myself and ordered the TABBS CD-ROM from Shareware Solutions
II. :-)

<BLUSH> :-)
