Followed by this from Supertimer:

MacOS is set to automatically assume a 1.44MB MFM format
when it detects a high density disk.
If you know how to program the Mac, you might want to try
writing your own driver."
And I reply:
There is an AEHD disk drive with drivers already for the Mac. I have one.
It will access, read and write to the1.6MB formatted disk as such also.
This is currently only possible with that specific AEHD for the Mac in use on
the Mac with the proper driver for it installed also.
Now, if somebody had the skill to write a driver for the Mac to allow the other
Mac drives and it's OS's to format, read and write to this 1.6MB floppy 3.5
disk and DID IT and released it - that would indeed be a nice addition to the
Mac.
