Did the drive exhibit the problems with the other GS or both? My Vulcan had
similar odd problems and it turned out to be the controller. At the time AE was
still around so I had it swapped when I upgraded the drive. Of course now my
drive had died due to sticktation and I had adapted my Vulcan to use a SCSI
drive.

What size is your Vulcan drive?
