Darn! I've been trying to help Herbert (mystix@direct.ca) find
a replacement accelerator to replace the one that died on him.
Yours would have been perfect because he has a working
cable/plug but a bad TWGS. He has been using a IIGS for
years and is quite dedicated. He uses his IIGS to do titling
using the Video Overlay Card, a genlock device for the IIGS,
because the equivalent PC devices these days are too
expensive. The VOC and the genlock software overlays
computer text and graphics onto a real time video image.

Understood. If the user you sold it to is not able to fix the
card, please have him/her send email to mystix@direct.ca.
A dedicated user able to replace the cable/plug is looking
for a TWGS to fix. Thanks.

P.S. You've discovered the Achilles Heal of the TWGS
(and the ZipGS). The cable/plug can easily be damaged
from repeated removal and insertion. That's probably
another reason you rarely see the cards being traded.
IIGS users who have them usually never take them out.
I've only removed mine once and that was to replace
the CPU on the card. I removed the card from the slot,
but not the plug from the motherboard. I also installed
my IIGS in a PC tower case without taking out the
accelerator first. The risk was too great.
