You read that subject line right...
I have ONE working 7mhz Zip GSX version 1.02 with 8K of cache...
For sale...
STILL!!!
Rare toy...
Software manual on disk included...
This is the card you've wanted for years...
And my asking price has been REDUCED!
This card is was on sale for 300 US dollars. Since I said I'd lower the price
in a week if there were no takers, it's now down to a slightly more tempting
$275 US dollars!
Agreed, this card is a little expen$ive, but the last accelerator I saw on eBay
went for well over $265. The broken one went for over $100! As far as what I
paid for this card back in 1990 or so, let's not go there. Please, do not
insult me with email offering me anything less than 275 bucks; and, don't post
after me how expen$ive (or overpriced) it is. Yes, I know it's a high price;
but if you've been out hunting for one, you know how rare these puppies are and
how much you'll have to pay to get one! If you think the price will come down
in time, you're right! It will! A tiny bit every week or so. Wait if you
want to... But... There will come a point when someone out there will snatch
this card up either here or through an eBay auction. Will it be you? Or will
you be beaten out at the last 3 seconds on eBay? Some choice, eh? Especially
if you have funds available! Go on. Give yourself an early Xmas present. :)
Buyer pays shipping. I will only ship through UPS or similar, professional
service. I will ship overseas. (International order? No problem!) Buyer
must prepay by cashier's check or money order only! Oh, and I am shipping from
the United States, of course. First person to email me accepting these terms
gets this card. If payment is not received within 7 days, that person will
loose out to the next person in line.
The card remains on the market exclusively to comp.sys.apple2...
But for how long?
Now, allow me a fritter away more bandwidth to answer a few questions and
comments.

Thanks! :) I did try to use clever, witty prose.
However, not everybody appreciates such:

Allow me to make an observation. Over the past two years, I have bought more
than 2 dozen GS systems from the 'net, Hamfests, and Goodwill-like stores. I
have passed up probably 100+ GS systems. Not once have I found "a sleeper," a
system with an accelerator card hidden in it.
The existence of one of these cards always drives the price way up.
Accelerators are rare cards! AE and Zip Technologies pricing in the late 80's
and early 90's made sure of that.

Speaking as one of those "gullible [collecting] souls," you learn really fast
that need to be willing to open your pocketbook when the frustration gets to
you.

I wish you luck on your $30 Zip GSX Accelerator 7mhz 8K Quest. Watch out for
those windmills, Don. Errr, I mean, Jeff. :)

Overpriced??? You should bought one in 1990 like I did so you could gain the
proper perspective on "overpriced."

<<SNIP THE UPGRADE STUFF>>
But if I screw up the upgrade, then what happens? I own a dead card and the
Apple II community looses a rare piece of equipment. The risk is too great.
