First of all, I don't think the later versions of ProSel 16 (such
as Y2K compliant version) run under ProDOS 16. They
require GS/OS, if I remember correctly.
Second, whether the guts of the operating system is GS/OS
or ProDOS 16 does not affect the GUI. Thus, if you do not
like the Finder provided with the GS/OS version on the Focus,
simply install ProSel 16 onto the drive and use the SetStart
control panel to designate ProSel 16 as the start program.
You'll boot directly into ProSel 16.
Lastly, I don't believe the Focus driver works under ProDOS 16.
You need the driver to use the Foucs drive.
If you need the SetStart control panel, I'm sure someone on
csa2 can show you where to download it or email it to you.
If not, I can email you the control panel in an .shk file.
