Yes, the Laser 128 can take a NoSlot Clock.  You insert it
between the ROM and the socket under the metal door
at the center bottom of the Laser.  Actually, this works
with the EX and EX/2 too, but it is redundant on the EX/2,
of course.  ;-)

David Empson wrote a program that'll fix NoSlot Clocks.
It seems the lifespans are in fact a decade or more.  The
NSC failures are really NSC chip crashes.  This can be
corrected by wiping the NSC memory and resetting the
NSC, which is what David's program does.

However, David's program is written with a IIc Plus in
mind.  He posted how to modify it for a IIe, but for a
Laser, the program would need to be modified again.
This is to control for the different locations of the NSC
chip.

With a ZipChip, the 1MB memory card, and an NSC,
the only thing missing compared to a 128EX/2 (at least
compared to the EX/2 style with the 5.25 drive) is the
MIDI port and the battery backed control panel.
