The Laser's serial ports are NOT 3 percent slower.
The peek location David Empson provides does not
tell anything about the Laser, only a IIc.  The reason
ADT does not work is because the Laser uses a
different serial chip than the IIc.  Just like the IIGS
does not work with ADT because it uses a different
serial chip.

Plug a Super Serial Card into the slot on the side
of the Laser and it'll work with ADT.  Otherwise, get
a Laser 128 aware program like ProTERM 3.1.
