I have an emergency System 5.0.4 boot disk that has the
HFS FST installed. Namely, the patched FST from
System 6.0.1. It works perfectly. I've used it again and
again and it has always worked.
I now email this disk to IIGS users who request it. If you
would like a copy, just let me know.
No one should be using 5.0.2.
You know what's even more amazing? The MS-DOS FST
also functions under 5.0.4. I've read MS-DOS disks from
a high density drive under the 5.0.4 Finder (new users
reading this in csa2...unlike Mac HFS, the MS-DOS FST
will only read your MS-DOS disks provided you have a
high density floppy drive and controller on the IIGS).
