Must be something 'in the air' (or GMTA). Whatever, Supertimer just posted
something about this a few days ago on Csa2. It turns out that the System 6.0.1
HFS file system translator (HFS.FST) can be moved to System 5.0.4 (into the
SYSTEM/FSTS folder) and you will be able to R/W Mac HFS disks. I guess it would
work okay with System 5.0.2, too.
Evidently, the same goes for the DOS 3.3 FST. So, the new version of the
System 5.0.4 disk on ACN Tarnover and ACN Florida includes both FST's. You can
find the System 5.0.4 disk as a whole-disk ShrinkIt file at ...
