I got my IIGS booted, and I want to thank Rubywand and others for the
great help.
FWIW, I accomplished the boot by downloading 6.0.1 and then using the
System disk. Now I know that I have 1792K of memory. That tells be
what the GS-RAM (tm) card provides. All three bays (A, B and C) are
filled.
I imagine the other card is an accelerator. It's a Transwarp (there's
a clue) GS with a smaller card mounted on it marked "Rev TW GS V1.18H"
So, having the external floppies, and the system software, I figure
that all I need is a hard drive. What's the recommendation, an
internal or an external?
A final question, out of curiosity. I've read within the past couple
weeks that the "Woz" Limited Edition was (a) 5,000 units, (b) 10,000
units, (c) 50,000 units, and (d) a hoax. If anyone would know the
straight scoop, it would be someone within this group. What's the
truth?
Thanks again for the help (particularly the FAQs) available within
this news group.
