The ProFile controller is indeed a bidirectional parallel
card. It might be easier just to plug in a bidirectional
serial to parallel converter into the printer port or the
Super Serial Card, though. ProFile controller is even
more rare than the ProFile (the Apple II version of the
controller, that is).
