If the GS in question is a ROM 00 or ROM 01 model, there is a second power
supply connector...or solder pads for such a connector if the connector
itself is absent.  I don't have the pinouts handy, but you could probably
tap that location for the -5v if you need it.

Strange, though...I thought both the 12v and 5v power lines were available
on the peripheral slots...
