It is an Apple IIc clone except that it shares some attributes
with the IIe, namely one slot for an expansion card and the
presence of a numeric keypad on the keyboard.

The Laser 128 is practically fully Apple II compatible. The
only software that does not run are HomeWord and The
New Printshop (old Print Shop runs).

There is also an internal memory expansion socket where
you can plug in a Laser 128 memory expansion card to
expand the memory from 128k to 1MB.

The Laser 128 is fully "enhanced" with respect to the IIc
and Enhanced IIe, so it does MouseText, double hires,
and other stuff. In fact, it is reported that the Laser 128
has one graphics mode, 560x384, that the Apple IIc and
IIe does not have!
