??  It's been too long since I worked with the 6502, but I _distinctly_
remember that the Rockwell 65C02, at least, is static and can be clocked
as slowly as you like.  I found, I recall, that with a slow enough clock
speed, I could get the power supply current down in the 0.1uA region (or
below) with it.  I thought that the original MOS Technology 6502's were
also static, just not such low power.

(Clearly, if you are driving dynamic ram, you better arrange to refresh
that as needed!)
