Serial hard drive compatible with Apple IIs?

I've got an Apple serial (floppy) hard drive that works on a Mac (HFS) and
I was wondering if it would work on a IIc+, since it has no slots in which
to put a SCSI card (I don't have one anyway).

I know I would probably have to reformat it to ProDOS format, but what
application should I use? I have several, but some suggestions are
appreciated.
