Ouch!
That's really sad. I felt the same way when I wired
a cable to plug a PC power supply into my IIGS and
reversed the leads! Boy did that hurt. I was damn
lucky that I hadn't put any cards in the IIGS before
I powered up.
Today I have another IIGS motherboard in there and
the fried one is in my closet, for parts and as a
reminder to myself.
Good luck on fixing your card, Herbert. Not to make
it worse or anything, but have you tried plugging in
the original CPU to make sure the IIGS motherboard
itself is ok? Just a thought.
Good luck again. I hope things work out.
