A lot of the consumer oriented PCs by the big manufacturers, (i.e.
compaq, hp, etc) slap one of those lttle foil stickers on the case,
overlaping adjoining case pieces that separate when the case is opened.
This is to ensure the user hasn't been tinkering around in the case in a
non static safe envronment in order to preserve the warrantibility of
the machine. Anyone non-saavy enough to buy one of those integrated
piles of components, probably does not know enough about computers to
safely add boards anyway, thus validating the reasoning behind the
stickers. And those who are saavy and still buy one aren't going to
worry about any silly warranty anyway. :-)
