OK, I guess I'll buy what you said...it was just from the tone of the
message that I responded to that it didn't sound like that.

But one of the points that I was going to work in that I forgot to was that
it's not necessarily a civil action anymore.  Although someone would end
up being hardpressed to show the $$$ damage for Apple II software under
the current law, it probably could be done.  As for it being too old and
the FBI not caring about it, that's a problem...after all, justice is
supposed to be blind in the country but it seems to keep an eye on the
money part of it.

I'm not saying that the justice dept. should go after any old software
'archive', it wouldn't be worth it, but it is possible.
