Okay, here we go again.  :-/

Taking something without permission is stealing.  I don't see how that
can be considered goofy.

The report that was made available was entire posts, possibly even
entire threads of messages, to the Apple II forum on Delphi, not
"words" from a chat.  Even had they been from a chat the person who
made the statements can still claim copyright.

You also have to be a member of Delphi to see those posts so they
weren't made "publicly".

Delphi holds an explicit copyright on the compilation and the
individuals have an implicit copyright on their posts.  Using those
posts in their entirety, as was done, is against the law.

Excuse me, but my report is being written entirely by me and will
contain no posts from anywhere.  I am writing up my experiences from
attending my first KFest.  Please stop trying to use me to make a
point, it doesn't work.

Okay, lets try it this way this time:

     THAT STATEMENT WAS PUBLICLY RETRACTED AS BEING FALSE!

Maybe yelling will get the point across better than the multiple posts
pointing this fact out.

There would be zero complaints of theft because there would be no
theft.  I know that I would never purposely use someone else's posts
without permission.

Well, if you insist on calling it news, at least call it what it is.
Old news.  The messages were originally posted to Delphi during and
shortly after KFest.  Tom didn't repost them until about a week after
KFest making the reposts one or two weeks old.

This whole subject would be over and done with now if it hadn't been
for the fact that Tom, after receiving complaints and removing the web
page, put the page back up.  Also, I don't think this subject would
have even been raised if Tom had used links to the messages on Delphi
rather than reposting them.

Just to let you know, there were eight first time attendees at KFest
this year.  There was at least one other new person, from Italy no
less, that stopped by for the Vendor Fair.
