The Transwarp GS certainly supported DMA - at least when the DMA card was a Ramfast. Drew Vogan and the folks at AE expended a lot of effort to ensure that worked correctly. My ZipGSX co-exists in the same machine as a Ramfast as well, but I do not recall if I turned off DMA on the disk controller or not.
