mini-din-8, actually. Mini-dins are smaller than dins.
Mini-din-8s are used in the IIGS, the IIc+, and the Macintosh.
IIGS and Macintoshes use the same serial chip, hence 56k
and 230k for AppleTalk.
IIc+ still uses the old SCC serial chip, hence 19200 max and
no AppleTalk.
However, since the plugs are identical, the IIc+ can use IIGS
and Macintosh serial cables.
