I seem to recall that I tried to hook a Mac modem & cable to my IIc+ and
it wouldn't work. Although the connectors are the same type, there are
differences in the wiring. I think some of the pins the Mac uses are
just grounded in the IIc+. I ended up making my own cable, and my
scribbled notes say:
IIc+         modem 
1 ----------  20
3 ----------   2
4 ----------   7
5 ----------   3
2 ----------   6
