I would imagine that the Imagewriter driver is also
QuickDraw and I thought that basically all the HP
drivers were also QuickDraw...i.e. QuickDraw is use
to draw the 300DPI image in memory and the HP PCL
language is used to get that image to the printer.

Or course, I could be wrong, but I never heard that
the HP printers didn't use QuickDraw.
