I think you're trying to rewrite history a bit here, Rudy.

In fact, this all started with Charles Turley's decision to lift,
verbatim, posts about Kfest '99 from another service and compile them
for his own use in an article on his web site. He didn't even have the
decency and respect to ask these posters for permission to use their
words. I don't think that would have been too much to ask.

Some of my words were included in the compilation, much to my dismay. If
Turley had ask my permission to use those words, I would have said no.
My personal observations of Charles Turley's behavior over the years
makes me not want to be associated with him, or his work, in any way.
That's my opinion and my prerogative.

Of course, Charles Turley knew most of the posters whose words were used
would have denied him permission. Maybe that's why he opted against
doing the decent and respectful thing.

Sheppy's so-called "outburst" came in =private= e-mail to Charles
Turley. It had nothing to do with csa2 until Turley made it so by
whining about it here. Sheppy was merely exercising his rights to
express his outrage over Turley's raid on the Delphi A2 message board. I
don't blame him for being upset.

IMO, Turley (and his lapdog Rudywand) knew exactly what they were doing
when they lifted those posts from Delphi without asking permission and
compiled them for their own use. They knew exactly the type of reaction
they would get, and got it. That was the plan.

So I have to respectfully disagree with your assessment of things, Rudy.
This entire mess was stirred up by Turley & Co., and it achieved the
response they were after.

Another victory for Charles and Rubywand in their quest to poison the
Apple II community beyond repair.
