How are you trying to get them to work together?

Spectrum Internet Suite v1.1 still requires a unix shell account, a
Genie account or a Delphi account (need a paid account to be able to
access the text side; a free web based account won't work).

Using Spectrum v2.2 you can either direct dial to one of these
accounts and then run SIS.

However, if you have a working Marinetti connection, you can use that
to connect to the internet and telnet to one of the accounts above.
Either way should work but the Marinetti method gives you the
advantage of an error free connection so no lost characters messing up
the pages you view.

Geoff Weiss has also released an alpha version of a TCP/IP library for
SIS and the reason he has released it as alpha is that it hardly ever
works and he's not sure why. Once the problem with the TCP/IP library
are found and fixed, then you will be able to use SIS without needing
one of the accounts above.
