Are those 3.5" floppies SuperDrives? Those would be quite the power
IIe accessory.
I would definitely look for a replacement for the Extended 80 Column
Card you have. Something that will let you put 1 MB in it would be
nice and maybe even get one that gives you a digital RGB output so
that you can replace the composite colour monitor with an EGA one.
How about adding a parallel interface card for hooking up parallel
printers?
Maybe add a Video Overlay Card or a Second Sight card to give your IIe
Super Hi-Res modes with overaly capability or SVGA graphics modes
respectively?
You'll definitely want to add a hard drive. SCSI would probably be
best but IDE would work as well. A Focus drive from Altech would give
your IIe an internal hard drive but a SCSI card with external hard
drives allows you to hook up more devices so you could also add a
CD-ROM drive, floptical, tape backup or whatever.
I'm not sure why you are against acceleration. If you can find a
Rocket or Zip chip, you just replace the processor which speeds up the
machine without having to use another slot.
Which brings up another point. I don't think you'll have enough slots
to add everything. :/
There are some ideas for you at any rate.
