I already responded in email what I think of your post.... but let me
rebut you publicly as well...
Read the final part of my sentence..."or so I am told..." - means I am not
positive of my information.. it was what I was told... calling my post
"utter bullshit" was totally uncalled for... now let me cut into yours a
little bit... did you HEAR Jobs and Wozniac say "Wow we're BLOWN away!" I
didn't think so - so perhaps, if I am right, you are the one full of utter
bullshit as you so eloquently put it.... and as for "Get your facts
straight!" - perhaps you should read the message you are responding to in
more depth before spouting off at the mouth.... your message tells me you
are a person who thinks they are always right no matter what - nobody at
your office probably likes you... the fact of the matter is I heard what I
heard from this newsgroup - so somebody out there obviously has a source
for the information... as I am sure someone told you Jobs and Woz were
"blown away".. because I am POSITIVE you didn't hear that from them
yourself - you're not Apple computer employee material... heh

: Where do you get this from ?
:
: According to the words from Steve Jobs and Woz's own mouths - they were
: absolutely *blown* away when they saw Xerox's GUI, and they dragged half of
: the Apple engineers down to PARC soon after to see a GUI for the **first**
: time.
:
: Suggesting that Apple engineers / programmers were already working on a GUI
: *before* Xerox started working on theirs is simply utter bullshit. According
: to Cringeley's book and other books I have read, Xerox had the Alto built and
: the GUI developed *before* Apple was even formed.
:
: Suggesting that Apple engineers / programmers were already working on a GUI
: before Jobs became aware of the Xerox GUI is also simply utter bullshit.
