I think this question needs added to the FAQ since it gets asked so many times.
Here's the deal: these do not work with Apple IIs. Give up trying to make it
work and sell it to a Mac 128 or 512 owner and use the proceeds to get a SCSI
card and drive.
Now of course our friend supertimer will chime in saying that it works with
a UDC. Even if so the person asking doesn't have one and odds are wouldn't
be able to find one. Not like it's worth the effort to use a HD20 anyway.
