You can take the IIGS keyboard apart. I'll can find the article
that tells how to do it for you if you'd like. The article talks
about completely taking it apart, cleaning it, and putting it back
together.

Well at least run it through ProTYPE and drop the INIT into
your System.Setup folder, then. I did go through the trouble
of archiving and encoding it for you. ;-)
It takes up only 2k of disk space and virtually no memory. It
is ignored with the standard keyboard but detects extended
keyboards. This is for GS/OS. You can leave it in your
system with the standard keyboard. No telling when you might
want to plug in an extended.
The major ProDOS 8 programs also support extended
keyboards. ProTERM 3.1 does and I can get you a set of
macros that supports the page keys in AppleWorks Classic
too. These keyboards a GREAT on the IIGS, especially
for VT100 and word processing.
